Frequently Asked Questions
Below you’ll find answers to the questions we get asked the most about products, service, delivery and more.
Good Good is an Icelandic based company, with offices in USA and Netherlands, offering a brand of healthy products, made from the best ingredients and only sweetened with low calorie natural sweeteners. For the sweet taste, we use the highest quality natural sweeteners available; Stevia, Erythritol, Maltitol as well as Oligosaccharides, a rich-in-fiber natural sweetener.
The herb, Stevia rebaudiana, has been used since Pre-Columbian times by the Guarani Indians of Paraguay, who had several names for the plant, Kaa’-he-E, Caa’-ehe, and Ca-a-yupe, all referring to its sweet leaf or honey leaf. It is commonly known in South America as yerba dulce meaning sweet herb. The Guarani used stevia nutritionally and medicinally. Since the early 1800s, the herb had been widely used in Paraguay, Brazil and Argentina. The plant came to the attention of the rest of the world when South American naturalist, Bertoni, “discovered” the plant in the late 1800’s. Today it is widely used in Australia, Brazil, the European Union, Hong Kong, Israel, Japan, Mexico, Norway, Paraguay, Peru, the Russian Federation, Singapore and United States.

Natural sweeteners are sweeteners that are originated from the nature and not made in a laboratory like artificial sweeteners. Good Good products consists of the highest quality natural sweeteners available; Stevia, Erythritol, Maltitol as well as Oligosaccharides, a rich-in-fibre natural sweetener. All of Good Good natural sweeteners carry the sweet taste with no or very few calories. In that way they contribute to zero, or very low effect on blood sugar, weight, dental health and cardiovascular disease.
Erythritol is a sugar alcohol or polyol that has been approved for use as a food additive throughout much of the world. It was discovered in 1848 by British chemist John Stenhouse. It occurs naturally in some fruit and fermented foods. At the industrial level, it is produced from glucose by fermentation with a yeast, Moniliella pollinis. Erythritol is 60–70% as sweet as sucrose (table sugar), yet it is almost no caloric, does not affect blood sugar, does not cause tooth decay, and is partially absorbed by the body
Maltitol is a low calorie natural sweetener (2.1 calories per gram) that naturally occurs in fruits and vegetables. Maltitol provides you with sweetness that is very similar to that of sugar, but with much fewer calories. Even though Maltitiol is a low calorie sweetener it’s still a carbohydrate and people watching their blood sugar levels and weight should take note of that.
Oligosaccharide (IMO) occurs naturally and is the perfect sweetener for those who want to consume less sugar. IMO has 50% of the sweetness of sugar in commercially prepared syrups. IMO is a fiber rich sweetener and a great alternative to regular syrup. IMO is rich in fiber with prebiotic effect, proven to have a positive impact on the microflora in the large intestine.
